Founder, CEO & Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Lau is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Scientific Officer of Lipovectra. He is a Harvard-trained board-certified plastic surgeon with over 11 years of clinical practice. Dr. Lau developed the proprietary ex vivo human fat technology that serves as the foundation of Lipovectra’s drug development platform, enabling rapid, de-risked evaluation of adipose-targeted therapeutics.

Dr. Lau is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of four companies, including Firecracker, a medical education software-as-a-service company acquired by Wolters Kluwer. He is also a nationally competitive Olympic weightlifter.

Dr. Lau completed his surgical training at Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery and received his MD from the University of Michigan Medical School and his undergraduate degree from Yale University.

Founder, Chairman

Dr. Scheidegger is a Founder and the Chairman of Lipovectra. He brings more than three decades of executive leadership, venture capital, and life sciences experience across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is the founder of Nextech Invest, a global venture capital firm focused on life sciences innovation, and has served as Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and active board member across numerous public and private biopharmaceutical companies. Earlier in his career, Dr. Scheidegger led global bio-active compound R&D programs and oversaw CDMO fine chemical operations.

Dr. Scheidegger holds a PhD in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Basel and completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School. He holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Karate.

Founder, Chief Legal Officer

Mr. Bourgeois is a Founder and the Chief Legal Officer of Lipovectra, where he oversees all intellectual property strategy, patent prosecution, licensing, and legal matters for the Company. He is a registered patent attorney and named inventor on 8 issued patents, with extensive experience in biomedical patent licensing and litigation. Mr. Bourgeois is the Founder of IP Valuation Partners and Co-Founder of Keliomics Inc., where he developed his practice advising life sciences companies on IP strategy, valuation, and licensing transactions.

Mr. Bourgeois received his JD from Tulane University Law School and his BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he competed as an NCAA Division I swimmer from 2004 to 2008. He served as a U.S. Pan American Games 2012 Weightlifting Team alternate and earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt in 2025.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Jones is the Chief Operating Officer of Lipovectra, where he oversees clinical development, manufacturing strategy, market positioning, and operational execution. He brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical development, having raised over $135 million in venture and strategic capital and filed an S-1 for initial public offering. Dr. Jones was a member of the preclinical team that developed Cialis and has designed, planned, and executed pivotal clinical trials, toxicology studies, and manufacturing programs across multiple therapeutic areas.

Dr. Jones has deep expertise in small molecule and biological drug development spanning Metabolic Disorders, Cancer, Pain/Analgesia, and Inflammation. His background includes senior management roles with responsibility for market positioning, reimbursement strategy, and pricing analysis.

Corporate Affairs Lead

Mr. Jordan is the Corporate Affairs Lead at Lipovectra, where he directs corporate communications, strategic messaging, and stakeholder engagement. He brings over two decades of enterprise communication experience from leading global biopharmaceutical and technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Jordan served as Senior Corporate Affairs and Communications Global Lead at Moderna, where he acted as chief spokesperson during the Spikevax launch and rollout—one of the most high-profile pharmaceutical launches in modern history.

Prior to Moderna, Mr. Jordan held senior corporate affairs and strategic communication roles at Amgen, Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiaries, Pfizer, and Exxon Office Systems Company. In addition to his corporate work, Mr. Jordan serves as an enterprise communication advisor and manages health investments for a family office.
